This document provides the release notes for Gemini Central v3.0.1. It describes notable changes compared to the previous production release.

Upgrade from previous versions

Central 3.0.1 is released as a system upgrade pack containing new features, system-level changes, and patches released since the Manage 2.6 release.

Confirm your current Manage version before applying this upgrade pack. An existing installation of Manage 2.6 is required for this upgrade pack.

For customers running earlier versions, please contact the Gemini Support team via the Support Portal for information on upgrading to the latest version.

Changes in Gemini Central 3.0.1

• Tested and confirmed it’s compatible with Splunk Enterprise 8.2.

• Fix multiple issues since Central 3.0

• Fix multiple security vulnerabilities found and validated before Sep 9 , 2021.

Fixed Issues

• MGR-4087: Failed to apply patches through GUI.

• MGR-4088: The (1807) Update Appliance Package will return error 993.

Known Issues

• Because of the malfunction of uploading upgrade pack in Central 3.0, you will not be able to upgrade it through GUI. Please contact Gemini Support to understand how to apply the upgrade pack when you are trying to upgrade your Central 3.0 instances.

• IMPORTANT: If there are iSCSI devices mounted, the bootup process will fail following an upgrade. Workaround:

  • Unmount all iSCSI devices before running the upgrade process.
